Marketing & Technology Partner Case Study

The Neuro‑Growth
Blueprint.

Architecture, automation & acquisition - how we helped build, automate and grow the UK's largest single specialist ADHD clinic from start-up in 2019, through to its national acquisition in 2025.

This is what happens when a growth partner goes beyond development and marketing, and instead becomes an embraced and embedded growth partner.

By design, we are built differently to your standard outsourced marketing agency. For ADHD360, we were the growth & technology partner that built the digital clinic to win the market, then filled it.

Act I · 2019  The bet

Chapter 01

The Origin & the Mandate.

From a clinical idea to national infrastructure

In 2019, the acknowledgement of ADHD wasn’t what it is today. NHS assessment waits stretched for years. Private care was fragmented, expensive and largely manual. The specialist industry as it exists today simply didn't exist. Dr Phil Anderton had a more radical idea: not another private clinic, but a safety net at a scale nobody else was attempting. The modern specialist-clinic model is one that ADHD360 and DISRUPT. Search Studios came to define.

It began with a build, not a campaign. The very first ask was not marketing - it was infrastructure. Before a single ad ran, DISRUPT. Search Studios built the two things that ADHD360 would stand on: the clinical operating system and the website. The system and the shopfront came first; the growth engine came after, once there was something built to scale.

In those early days there was just a clinical mission, a blank white board, and a partnership. What turned that into a company acquired by a national group was over six years of effort, expertise and quality of work that compounded. The scale was the result, not the brief.

Chapter 02

The Embedded Partnership.

A founding growth team, not a vendor

The throughline.

The most important thing to understand is how the work was done. DISRUPT. Search Studios did not operate as an agency hired for a project. It worked as the company's founding growth marketing & technology development partner. We were external, but embedded. It meant that everything that follows was built from inside the business, which is why it worked.

The usual agency-based arrangement:

Clinical
delivery
Operations &
administration
Finance &
commissioning
Agency - held at arm's length

instead of

How we worked differently:

Clinical
delivery
Operations &
administration
Finance &
commissioning
Embedded DISRUPT. Search Studios
growth · technology
  • A full department's footprint.

Over six years we ran the workload of an entire growth and technology department - engineering, marketing and operational influence. That is what becomes possible when a client doesn't hold you at arm's length as a retainer, but trusts you to merge into the business as an embedded department.

  • A shared, named growth plan.

We diagnosed the real constraint - visibility, conversion and clinical capacity, not demand - and set the scaling path around it.

  • A director-level rhythm.

Regular leadership reviews tracking reach, pipeline and revenue movement - the way an embedded leadership team runs a business, instead of the way a supplier reports on one.

  • We didn't just create the growth - we helped to staff it.

Through clinical recruitment marketing - we ran campaigns end to end - feeding hundreds of hires into the clinic, and DISRUPT. Search Studios supported, guided and trained operations on the systems it ran.

  • A hand on the platform's direction.

We didn't just build to a brief - we became part of the strategic direction of the platform itself, bringing new ideas and concepts for how it could improve. Those improvements were shaped by real patient experience, our own expertise, and - in more ways than one - our own first-hand experience of the very service we were building.

Most agencies sell services. We helped design the blueprint for a multi-million-pound clinic and then embedded to build it.

Act II  The build

Chapter 03

The Infrastructure.

A clinical operating system, not a CRM.

Their first ask was a system. Built from the ground up, DISRUPT. Search Studios delivered a bespoke clinical operating system that runs the entire operation - from first referral through to long-term, sustained treatment - designed around clinical governance from the start.

It connects patients, clinicians and administration, each with a purpose-built command centre. Here is what it does, in the order it meets the people who use it.

01The patient

From first touch to treatment

  • Screening that scored itself - validated questionnaires completed online and scored in the record, so patients saw where they stood before they committed to booking, and the clinician arrived already knowing them.
  • An objective attention test taken from home - QbCheck, offered from the patient's own to-do list, with the result plotted straight into the record and the GP letter.
  • Onboarding done by the patient - identity checks, the clinicians' risk questions, goals and vitals recorded before the first appointment, with risk flags routed automatically.
  • Payments built in - with instalment plans added as the clinic grew, so cost was less of a barrier to care.
  • Automated reminders - appointments, observations, payments. Patients were nudged without being chased.
  • Letters that followed the patient - clinical correspondence generated from the record, with review built into the release step.

02The clinician

Designed with safe care at volume from the start

  • The controlled-drug register maintained in the system, pad by pad - the prescribing log automated, pads allocated and tracked, and a second pair of eyes on scripts and letters.
  • Every script checked against NICE guidance - with a reason recorded whenever it wasn't followed.
  • Medication reviews scheduled automatically - so every review was booked before it fell due.
  • Children on stimulants tracked against the UK growth charts - because the medication can affect growth.
  • Prescribing and pharmacy activity connected - the dispensing pharmacy working inside the same system, scripts released to it once properly coded, home blood-pressure monitors ordered through it.

03The clinic

Running it as one system

  • Every action had clear ownership - a task engine that routed each next step to the right person or team, so nothing fell through the cracks as volume grew.
  • Pathway worklists - every stage with a target, and live visibility of performance against it.
  • Money in the same record as the care - card payments and instalment plans in the same record, and an accounts-system link we designed so every payment was invoiced without anyone touching it.
  • A full audit trail - every clinical action with an author and a time - and configurable governance workflows.
  • ...and much more.

Act III  The growth

The system came first. Then we filled it.

Most agencies arrive after the business exists. We arrived before it did - and built the thing the growth would run on.

Chapter 04

The Growth Engine.

Full-stack marketing: from "search" to "society"

With the infrastructure in place, we opened the engine up - running every function of a full marketing department as one integrated system. Not a channel here and there: the whole thing.

  1. 01 Cited by the AI answer.

Google's AI Overview is won the same way as the rest: by being the clearest, most credible source. We built ADHD360’s Content, Off-site SEO and Social Strategy for exactly this.

  2. 02 Paid search, tuned to outcomes.

Built from scratch and split by audience, with every conversion action the patient journey could produce fed back into the bidding algorithms.

  3. 03 The brand result.

By 2025, a dominant traffic story was branded search - people typing the clinic's name because they had come looking for it.

  4. 04 And the encyclopaedia beneath it.

A comprehensive, clinically-reviewed resource hub of neurodiversity that made the site the place people found their answers.

The next search box

And when the question goes to an AI...

Search is no longer only ten blue links. More and more, people ask ChatGPT, Gemini and AI overviews directly - and those tools answer by citing the sources they trust. We built ADHD360's authority so that when the question is about an ADHD assessment, the brand that gets named is theirs. It's the same discipline as full suite SEO, aimed at the newest surface - and the visual makes the point as loudly as the words do.

Chapter 05

Recruitment Marketing
& The Academy.

A talent engine that paid for itself

Growth is nothing without the people to deliver it. So we built the clinic a talent engine - and turned recruitment from a cost into a revenue stream. At its centre was The Academy: a strategic training programme, run monthly by Dr Phil Anderton and Lisa Mangle themselves, that trained the next generation of ADHD clinicians while giving the business first sight of the industry's best.

We ranked it. By targeting search terms like "ADHD training" and "ADHD courses" across multiple search engines, The Academy pulled a constant stream of prospective clinicians and administrators toward the business. It was a self-renewing pipeline of talent that also generated income from course fees. And we ran every part of it: branding, SEO, paid social, PPC and a dedicated recruitment email programme that pushed the Academy, upcoming events and live vacancies together.

  3. Enquiry / referralfront‑end

What we could answer

  • Which source…every enquiry came from
  • Cost per sustained patient…not cost per enquiry
  • Access gaps…deprivation & demographic patterns
  • The attribution delay…realising, then acting on it

Illustration of the measurement architecture.

What made the growth engine compound was that it ran on data. A real end-to-end tracked pipeline fed Looker Studio and Power BI dashboards, and - using a range of highly intelligent tracking and custom solutions - we could trace every enquiry back to the channel that produced it, and optimise to cost per completed assessment, not merely cost per enquiry.

The pipeline was wired with a full measurement stack - Google Tag Manager orchestrating every tag, Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console reading behaviour and search demand, Bing Webmaster Tools alongside it, Microsoft Clarity for on-page session insight, and a layer of custom call and form tracking that captured not just phone calls but web-form submissions. This was all threaded through the operating system and the entire web-app patient journey.

Under it sat real data engineering: platform data from Google, Meta and LinkedIn pulled together through Windsor.ai into a BigQuery warehouse, fed by a custom Python pipeline that ingested call, form and app data daily and drove more than a dozen iterations of Looker Studio and Power BI dashboards. That let us make hyper-informed decisions: how to target different demographics and backgrounds, how to approach NHS Right to Choose differently from private, and how to reach communities with the greatest unmet need - then feed all of it back into Google Ads for maximum conversion-bidding efficiency and value.

Chapter 07

Off-Site SEO: Brand,
Trust & Authority.

Why search rewards the brand people trust

Brand, trust and authority are not separate from SEO - in this industry they are SEO. ADHD assessment is a textbook "Your Money or Your Life" (YMYL) subject, where Google leans hardest on E-E-A-T: Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trust. Off-site, that is earned the same way clinical reputation is earned: real credentials, real reviews, real coverage. So we built it deliberately, and it became one of the biggest drivers of organic performance.

  • 45 min → <1 min

Scoring a screening questionnaire, once the system did it - with questionnaire return rates up by half (2020 HSJ award entry)

  • 3 pathways

The marketing

Return on marketing, measured on revenue rather than clicks · Feb 2020 to Nov 2025

The efficiency dividend

Audited revenue nearly doubled between FY2023 and FY2024 while the team grew only modestly - a business scaling on systems and automation, not headcount. Early automation cut routine clinical admin such as GP letters from around an hour to a few minutes, letting the same team care for far more patients

The investment line begins with the first site and content work (February 2020) and excludes the platform build, which is why the build itself is marked on the floor. March 2020 to April 2021 is modelled rather than measured and is drawn differently for that reason. The multiple is a revenue-to-spend ratio on the traced slice, never ROAS. Window: February 2020 to November 2025. Turnover markers are audited figures from Companies House.

Chapter 09

Replicability &
Expansion.

Proof the model repeats

A one-off success is luck. A repeatable one is a blueprint. Autism 360 - a full second brand with its own website, identity, careful preferred-terminology guide, social, PPC and webinars - was launched from the same blueprint - and went on to be named Autism Assessment Diagnosis Clinic of the Year 2025 (Healthcare Business Review Europe). The point is not that ADHD360 was special. It is that the system and the strategy are portable.

  • Same playbook
  • New brand & site
  • Own terminology guide

Chapter 10

The Exit & the Legacy.

From a startup's first build to a national acquisition

In 2025, Keys Group acquired ADHD360. The business passed into a national healthcare group as going, growing infrastructure.

That is the arc: from a startup with no system and no website, to a business worth acquiring - built, staffed, systematised and filled by the same partner throughout. The legacy is a company that thrives, a platform that runs it, and proof that empathy scales when you build both the content and the system.

Delivering both engines end to end - the clinical system and the growth that filled it - over six years places DISRUPT. Search Studios among the UK's leading specialists in healthcare system development and search-driven growth, across the ADHD, wider neurodiversity and broader healthcare sectors.

Chapter 11

The Opportunity.

Why this matters for the wider sector

The reason this blueprint travels is the size of the gap it closes. The demand for an ADHD assessment is enormous and largely unmet, and the economic case for treating it well is overwhelming - figures ADHD360 set out in its written evidence to Parliament in April 2025.

The value case is not close

On ADHD360's own evidence to Parliament, a three-year assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan costs £7,800 against a comparable three-year health-and-social-care cost of £40,656 per person - so for every £1 spent on ADHD diagnosis and management, £4.21–£16.37 can be saved over ten years. Demand this large, met this efficiently, is exactly the need a well-built clinic can meet.

A proven playbook, a proven system, and a market crying out for both. That is the opportunity we can help you meet.

Chapter 12

Two engines.
One partner.

The Blueprint

Most agencies sell you a service. We helped ADHD360 build the blueprint for a national clinic - the system that runs it and the growth that fills it. The same two engines are available to your organisation, and what we build becomes yours to keep. That is the difference. Marketing spend usually evaporates the moment it stops; our work converts into assets your company keeps - a platform of your own, a brand, an audience, an authority - raising your company's value, sustaining its growth, and still working long after the invoice. And because we root ourselves deep inside your business as embedded specialists, the capability itself becomes part of your company's value: not a supplier you could shrug off, but an asset you would fight to keep.

  • Clinical safety & governance
  • Funding & NHS commissioning
  • Interoperability
  • Patient engagement
  • The growth engine

If you deliver specialist healthcare.

We build your own operating system so you can scale safely - clinical governance, NHS commissioning, interoperability, patient engagement - designed around the part that hurts most first. Then we help grow and scale through search-led & brand marketing.

If you're an ambitious business, any sector.

We build both engines for you - bespoke web applications and operating systems that become your own, and the growth engine that fills them: technical-SEO-led sites, intelligence-first acquisition, lifecycle, brand and authority - informed by proven experience, not theory.
